Joy Division’s “Unknown Pleasures” cover comes from real science. Designer Peter Saville used an image of radio pulses from the first-known pulsar, CP 1919, printed in an astronomy book. The stacked white lines show repeated radio-wave pulses from a fast-spinning neutron star. They may resemble mountains or waves, but they’re measurements of invisible energy.

Why it’s yoga

The Interconnected Nature of Our Universe
In this universe, everything is vibrational and relational, creating an intricate web of interconnection - much like ourselves. The lines resembling the endless knot symbolize this inside balance of wisdom and compassion.

The Rhythm of Existence
All things resonate with rhythm: the heartbeat, breath, and the changing seasons. Through yoga practices, the unseen can be brought to light. By mindfully observing our movements and moments of stillness, we can find harmony with one another, allowing us to delve into the deeper layers of our reality and what truly matters to us.

Meditative Repetition
The nearly identical waveforms evoke the essence of a mantra or meditation practice. By consistently repeating a simple action, we gradually uncover subtle variations that enrich our experience.

Street Cred
Iconic post-punk music influence ;)
